A crack team of British researchers have had an epiphany. Coffee doesn't increase alertness. The "alertness" factor was no higher for caffeine drinkers compared to non drinkers. Well duh. It's a drug dummy. Plain and simple. Caffeine gives the addict a temporary legal high putting your system into high gear, or at least a perceived alertness. Don't mistake alertness and hyper activity.
While you may feel more alert it's just your body reacting to a temporary high. That caffeine high we have all learned to love and enjoy. Now shut up and drink more coffee.
